Clothing Swap Donations

Got clothes you no longer wear? Donate them to our Clothing Swap and help give pre-loved items a second life.

Donations can be dropped off during HUB opening hours at the Students’ Union Hub, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm.

All donated items will go towards our upcoming Clothing Swap event, supporting sustainability and helping students refresh their wardrobes for free.

Donation Guidelines

To ensure all items are safe, wearable, and suitable for everyone, please check the guidelines below before donating.

All items must be:

• Clean, freshly washed, and odour-free
• In good condition (no major stains, rips, or damage)
• Fully wearable and appropriate for everyday use

What You Can Donate

• Everyday clothing: tops, shirts, jumpers, trousers, skirts, dresses
• Outerwear: coats, jackets, hoodies
• Occasion wear: suits, dresses, formal clothing
• Accessories: hats, scarves, bags
• Shoes: clean, lightly worn, and donated as pairs
• Seasonal clothing

What We Can’t Accept

For hygiene, safety, and suitability reasons, we’re unable to accept:

• Underwear
• Socks or tights
• Swimwear
• Damaged or poor-condition items
• Heavily stained, ripped, or unwearable clothing
• Items with broken zips, missing buttons, or major defects
• Shoes with worn soles or structural damage
• Branded work uniforms
• Clothing with discriminatory or offensive prints or slogans
