A guided city centre walk for international and new students. This tour will help you get familiar with your surroundings as we explore popular food spots, shopping areas, and essential places you’ll likely visit as a student.

It’s a relaxed way to meet new people, ask questions, and feel more confident navigating the city while settling into student life.

*Important Information*

• Please wear comfortable, suitable footwear and dress warmly, as the weather in January is likely to be cold and rainy. 
•  We recommend bringing a waterproof jacket or umbrella and wearing layers to stay comfortable. Please also bring a water bottle.
• The walk will be at a moderate pace with regular breaks. For safety, stay with the group at all times and follow staff instructions when crossing roads. Staff members will be positioned at the front, middle, and back of the group, regular headcounts will be taken, and DMU Security has been informed of the route.
• Please keep personal belongings secure and bring valuables at your own risk. Any inappropriate behaviour will be addressed in line with DMU/DSU policies. If you feel unwell or need assistance at any point, please speak to a staff member.
