Important Information for Students Attending the City Tour

We’re excited to have you join us on the city tour, and we want to make sure it’s an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone. As we’ll be walking through city streets, please wear comfortable and suitable footwear to avoid trips or slips on uneven surfaces. We'll be walking at a moderate pace with regular breaks, so remember to bring a bottle of water, and dress appropriately for the weather - whether it’s hot, cold, or rainy. Use sun protection like sunglasses or hats if needed and carry an umbrella or raincoat just in case. For your safety, always stay with the group and follow staff instructions when crossing roads- we’ll only use safe, designated crossings and have staff guiding the way. If you ever feel unwell, tired, or unsure, please let a staff member know immediately. We’ll have team members leading the front, middle, and back of the group, doing regular headcounts, and we’ve informed DMU Security of our route. Please keep your personal belongings secure and bring valuables at your own risk. Finally, we ask everyone to be respectful, mindful of public interactions, and follow expected behaviour guidelines - any inappropriate behaviour will be addressed in line with DMU/DSU policies. We’re here to support you, so if anything arises during the tour, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the staff members.
