Below are the highlight DMUactive sessions of the week;
- Monday | Climbing, 7.00pm – 7.40pm at Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre (QEII)
Our activator & DMU Leisure Instructor will show you how to climb in a safe, welcoming learning environment.
- Tuesday | Volleyball; 5.00pm – 6.30pm at Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre (QEII)
This session is a bit more structured; activators will take you through basic skills and fun games so you can learn how to play.
- Wednesday | Swimming; 2.30pm – 3.30pm at Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre (QEII)
- This session is a turn up & swim style session, a ctivators on hand to support if you have questions.
- To attend you have to be able to swim a length of the pool, if you can’t we do have free Learn to Swim sessions available.
- Please wear swim appropriate attire.
- Thursday | Indoor Cricket; 5.30pm – 7.30pm at The Watershed
This session is a turn up & play style session; activators will be on hand to support if you are unsure how to play/have questions.
- Friday | Basketball; 5.00pm – 6.30pm at The Watershed
This session is a turn up & play style session; activators will be on hand to support if you are unsure how to play/have questions.
How to attend a DMUactive session?
To attend a DMUactive session, you must book on in advance using either the DMU Leisure app or DMU Leisure online booking system. By clicking here you can access a step-by-step instruction guide on how to sign up to a session.
All sessions are FREE and we recommend that you come in comfortable clothing, preferably trainers, and remember to bring your DMU student card otherwise you won’t be able to get into the session.
What is DMUactive?
DMUactive is a free, fun and inclusive programme that all DMU students can get involved with whilst studying at the university. As part of the programme there is a weekly timetable that offers an array of free activities enabling you to look after your wellbeing, socialise, learn new skills and stay active.
