✨A free, inclusive clothing swap for LGBTQ+ History Month ✨
This event offers DMU students a sustainable way to refresh their wardrobe or find clothes that better match their gender identity.
The event will run as a one way system and at the entrance, on arrival all attendees receive 3 tokens that are then exchanged for clothing. Students who donated items will receive an extra 2 tokens.
Clothing will be organised into types of clothing item (e.g. t shirts, dresses, jumpers etc.) and by size. Assorted pins will also be available.
Items are “checked out” in custom-made bags with thank-you cards.
Any leftover clothing will be used to either further support students through the DMU Pantry (interview/workwear), where possible, or be donated to local charity shops or textile recycling.
