This week’s Wellbeing Wednesday is all about a healthy liver!
Keeping check and maintaining a healthy liver is crucial, and liver health can contribute to a number of other health issues you may not be aware of.
Excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, stress and drug use can contribute to poor liver health and liver disease
Don't delay getting your liver health checked!

A Fibro Scan:
• Non-invasive ultrasound scan takes 5 - 10 minutes to complete
• Results discussed right away
• Measures fibrosis (scarring) and steatosis (fatty changes) in the liver
• Fasting is required for 3 hours before the scan as this can influence results accuracy - you can still take sips of water and any medication needed.
Signs or symptoms of liver disease when earlier identified are not always visible. The earlier that any liver disease can be identified, the earlier that further damage can be prevented or reduced.

Hepatitis C Test:
• A finger-prick test involves using a small lancet to prick the fingertip, collecting a tiny blood sample on a test strip or board
